All Aboard the After Effects Train!

So after several months of no post, I have come bearing gifts in the form of animations.

The first is my dedication to Duran Duran, the greatest pop band of all time (insert Kanye voice). Duran Duran piece. It's more 2D than really any 3D but it was a great warm up.

My newest piece CSSC Title Card Concept was my opportunity to really start to push things a little more and to really start thinking in 3 dimensions. Shout to Supa Fraud for the continued guidance in the realm of motion!

As always, feedback is welcomed!

Till All Are One,

KB27

It's been a minute, but here is a poster I did for my best homie in the entire universe for her birthday. Now this isn't the most complicated piece I've ever done but me it represents 3 things 1) Showing restraint with the amount of textures 2) Trying some new techniques out 3) Creating a 2D piece as a prelude to a 3D motion piece to come later. Hopefully I am not biting off more than I can chew with number 3.

What Happened to Downtime?

What Happened To Downtime?
This is a great article for anyone to read especially us creative types. They make some very valid points about breaking the connection to everything every so often. I can personally identify with needing to do this yet I hardly ever do. When will I learn.....

These are the things that dreams are made of...

at least for my girlfriend. This is a picture I just finished for her. It was nice to get a chance to draw again and also to practice some of the techniques that I have been seeing some of the artists that I admire using these days. It's a mixed media  piece done in pen, ink, charcoal, water color and then finally Photoshop. I was going to add some type but not having planned for it in the beginning draft, I couldn't incorporate it smoothly in the end. I am happy to say though, I got great feedback from this important client:)

Another Gem from Seth Godin

Seth's Thoughts on Self Delusion and Self Loathing

Seth's blog is one of the few that I read on a daily basis. He is pretty consistent for dropping gems of knowledge on subjects varying from marketing to personal development.

Word's Collide

A week ago, I was blessed with the opportunity to meet comic book icon and businessman, Todd McFarlane at the Baltimore Comicon. By meting Todd, my dreams of meeting of all of my comic book heroes is almost complete. I've met Jim lee (twice!), Michael Turner (God Bless his life!), Marc Silverstri and Joe Jusko. All I need now is an Alex Ross, and new comers Joe Benitez and Simone Bianchi to complete my list. I must also say, forget withever negative comments you may have heard about Todd. He was very polite and accommodating to his fans. I'm not sure where the horror stories of him being mean came from, but he was far from it on that day. His presentation was so energetic and personable, I felt as though I could have sat there for hours listening to him. So thanks again Todd, for being awesome and continue to give the comic book realm doses of creativity!

New Rashada Design Logo

So I first begin the idea of redoing my logo back in 07". As a suggestion from Rudy, posted above are the concepts that led us to where we are today.
